Our Leader wrote...
In a letter dated 15th January 1905 and published in the Christian Science Sentinel of October 1916, Mary Baker Eddy wrote...
“Our cause demands a wider circle of means for the ends of philanthropy and charity, and better qualifications for practical purposes.”
Some years later the first care facility for Christian Scientists, The Benevolent Home in Boston was established. Today these care facilities are widely established throughout the world.
The Heights is one of these facilities, a place of retirement providing opportunity for independence, companionship and useful activity.
It enables continuing participation in church and most importantly, provides support for those who are prepared to rely solely on Christian Science for healing.
The Heights is now the only such facility in Australasia.
You are sincerely invited to love, cherish and support this caring activity which is part of the ‘wider circle of means for the ends of philanthropy and charity’ as envisaged by our leader.
